iPhone, the choice of deities everywhere.

In case you’re retarded or have been raised by wolves and don’t yet speak our Man Language, the iPhone comes out today. Some people are comparing this to the second coming of Jesus, which I seriously don’t get, but hey - it’s your deity to fuck with, go ahead.
If it truely does revolutionalize the cel phone industry, then maybe it deserves the comparision… but until it rises from the dead and walks on water, I’ll keep my comparisions a little more grounded. For one, is it better than this piece of shit Blackberry 8800 I have to carry around. For two, will my company let me “trade up” and get one… because when it comes down to it, who the fuck wants to carry around two phones all the time?
I really want one, but I think I’ll wait for the lines to die down. I really don’t get the whole hype machine about having to get one today. I mean - I do (I am a geek after all, I know all about early adoption), but holy shit do I have better things to do than sit in line for 10 hours and play WoW on my laptop. Seriously - it’s a phone people. Okay, it’s a phone/iPod/browser/etc but still… for $600 I shouldn’t have to wait in line.
If I worked for Apple, I suppose I wouldn’t have to…. God damn lucky SOBs.
